International brokering & supply of bottles
One of Albamore's two core business areas is the sourcing of new Whisky distillers & vendors for the Chinese and other markets. China is our sweet spot, but we operate in many other places. There are hundreds of fine Whisky producers, bottlers & wholesalers who just don't have the know-how or the expertise to break into a market thousands of miles away, with a different culture, multiple different languages and a population beyond comprehension. Inbound Cask Investment
The other focus area of our business is the investment into HMRC-bonded Whisky casks, on behalf of our (predominantly) China-based clientele. For someone in China or elsewhere looking to invest, finding information on such commodities as Whisky, then researching and contacting companies in the UK for advice and the most reliable, up-to-date guidance is almost impossible, and certainly undesirable. On behalf of our Cask Partners, we promote the benefits in Mandarin or Cantonese in China through the efforts of our local teams. We cannot give financial advice, but we can showcase the services of our suppliers and close the investment deals on their behalf. We can also take payment in China in Yuan, or Hong Kong in HKD and pay for the Casks in Scotland in GBP.
