Our Business
Albamore is a UK-based consultancy, broker and distributor of fine Whisky and a handful of other high quality spirits. We specialise in investment into Scottish Cask Whisky - with customers all over the World - as well as the export of select bottled Scotch & fine spirits to China, the Far East, Europe and other regions.
We are neither a financial institution, nor a financial advisor; we collaborate with various cask, distillery & bottle partners and act as the introductory & fulfilment facility for multiple buyers & sellers of fine liquids. We bring overseas procurers and verified UK-based vendors together and open new trading relationships.
In our cask business, we deal solely with suppliers in the form of physical cask stockists or distilleries, ie: those who own & hold or physically distil and subsequently stock the casks of Whisky that are for sale. Purchasing through Albamore, cask buyers have a direct link to their assets and ownership will always be in their name. Likewise, with bottle exports, we only supply from hand-picked manufacturers.

Single Malts
The most desirable Whiskies comprise three main attributes: they come in the form of Scotch (distilled & bottled in Scotland), they are of a Single Malt variety and the older, the better. 91% of Far Eastern Whisky lovers choose only Single Malts. We supply China and many other regions with rare varieties for their discerning connoisseurs, retail platforms, restaurants, bars & clubs, hotels and wholesalers.
Whisky Blends
Whilst Single Malt Whisky might well be the choice of the avid collector, or the drinker with money to spare, not all blends are created equally. In fact, some of the most delicious, desirable Whiskies in the world are indeed blends and at times, blending can actually improve the taste of a liquid. We have access to many distributors, retailers and end users in China and elsewhere, always ready to take on new blends.
Other Spirits
Whisky is our thing. It's not just an alcoholic beverage, but is known as the 'water of life'. It's a collectable, an investable and indeed a passion. That said, we are also able to export & supply the finest in Vodkas, Gins, Rums and other spirits/ liqueurs as required, so please don't hesitate to get in touch if you're looking to break out of the UK market, or import into your nation outside of the UK.
Rare Ardbeg Scotch single malt cask sells for £16m
A rare cask of single malt whisky has been sold by a Scottish distillery for a record £16m.
Ardbeg said "Cask No. 3" was bought by an unnamed female collector based in Asia through a private sale. Experts said the sale had surpassed all auction records for a cask of single malt.

How does Cask Investment work?
Step 1: Consultation
We will consult with you via email, phone, video call or in person to ascertain your position, budget, key criteria and other factors that affect your investment
Step 2: Recommendation
Following our discussions with you and agreeing on your goals, we will work with our Cask & Distillery Partners to supply you with a list of recommended Casks
Step 3: Decision
We will work with you to ascertain which options are best for you and ensure our Partners keep the required Casks aside, earmarked for you via us at Albamore
Step 4: Execution
We will then take payment from you, convert it to GBP, purchase the Casks on your behalf and provide you with all your legal ownership documentation
Albamore will source & secure quality casks for you, but you as the customer will have:
Ultimate, Transparent Ownership
We will provide you with full details of everything to do with your investment, including a Certificate of Ownership detailing: individual Cask number/ code, Warehouse details, Distillery of manufacture, Barrel/ Cask type, liquid volume & alcohol content, and much more. We purchase on your behalf, but of course you are the ultimate owner of your goods
Complete Control over your Investments
Whatever choices you make, it's always up to you, the customer, when to exit your investment; you own your assets 100%. If your circumstances change or it's just time to liquidate your investment - so to say - contact us and we will work with you to determine the most suitable exit route for your needs at the time (exit fee may apply depending on investment)
Guarantees, Security and Direct Access
Whilst no-one can ever guarantee that an investment will go up, you will always have access to us at Albamore & Ch2G and, in addition, you will be supplied with the address & contact details of the HMRC (UK government) bonded Warehouse(s) in which your Casks are stored. With insurance & storage costs also included, you're in safe hands at all times

As an Albamore customer, you will have the opportunity to join our Whisky Club (more details on enquiry) for industry news, trends and updates. New find Whisky samples will be sent out, as well as tasters of your own Whisky - when re-gauging permits - and you'll be invited to events in collaboration with our Whisky Partners, Suppliers & Warehouses
Is buying Casks safe?
Absolutely, if done right.
His Majesty’s Revenue & Customs (HMRC) is the UK government body that regulates bonded warehouses where casks are stored. HMRC issues a small number of licences to registered companies (distilleries, stockists, logistics companies etc). This is called a Warehousekeepers and Owners of Warehoused Goods Regulations (WOWGR) Licence, which allows the holders to store casks under bond on behalf of clients.
Albamore deals with both distilleries and stockists, but ONLY legitimate producers or stockists of casks who have their own government-issued WOWGR licence and physical stock to trade. We do not supply our customers with casks bought through middle men or brokers.
